July was another very active month.
First, the inaugural issue of Fear in Dust was published (Summer 206, ghosts). Thanks to all who sent in work to be considered. A limited number of print issues are available for purchase from the Fear in Dust Online Store.
David has also been working steadily on continuing to write and pursue publications. This month also saw the continued addition of attending local poetry open mics. David plans to be a regular participant at the weekly Poetry Cauldron at Kafe Kerouac and the monthly The Other Open Mic at Clintonville Books. Please check them out if you are in the area.
David also was able to make it down to the Columbus Book Fair, which was an incredible event. While not selling at the Ohio Horror Writer's Association table this year, David did get to meet additional members of the chapter and check out some of their work.
This month's reading focused on shorter or novella sized offerings - all of which David recommends giving your time.
- "Mapping the Interior", by Stephen Graham Jones
- "The Ballad of Black Tom", by Victor LaValle
- "Rootfingers", by S. Allessandro Martinez
Finally, David was fortunate enough to have additional pieces accepted for publication, with some going live this month as noted below.
July Publications:
- "Unhinged", Parcham Magazine, June 2026 Poetry issue
- "We teach children...", Three Line Poetry, Issue 60
Stay tuned for updates!
